Maiden Edition of Bawku Film and Art Festival (BFAF) 

Vision: To be the most reliable platform in Ghana that ensures accurate, educative and cheerful appreciation of the culture of Northern Ghana.

Mission: To use film and art to project the true culture and heritage of Northern Ghana to the world, starting with that of Bawku

Who we are
BFAF is a not for profit organization, focused on using film and art to educate, entertain and preserve the strong culture of Northern Ghana.
We also aim to create regional unity through film that inspires togetherness and a proper appreciation of the rich diversity in the country.

Our believe
We are strong believers in the ability of film to act as a tool in projecting cultures. Therefore, we will blend film with art to project the northern culture and heritage to the world and in the process, bridge the gap between the north and south.

Maiden edition
The maiden edition of BFAF will be a three-day event, from from December 27-30, 2018, within which there will be screening of feature films, short films, documentaries, cultural displays and exhibition of wears from the three northern regions.

Theme: 'Merging the north and south through film, culture and arts.'
Within the three days, our goal will be to use the medium of cinema and art to foster unity in Bawku and northern Ghana as a whole.
To achieve this, we will bring educational opportunities to the community through the selection of films, panel and workshops at the festival.

Who can attend
The festival is opened to all, especially lovers of art, film and culture.
We particularly encourage students to attend and learn from our guests about specific topics from the films, film-making, related media and art business. We promise films that are beautiful, challenging, entertaining and life-changing.
BFAF will allow us to screen films that our community might otherwise never see, films that truly have the power to change lives by empowering viewers to think creatively, appreciate their talents and inspired to utilise them.
